Kinoglot plays MKV, MP4, AVI, WebM and dozens of other formats with hardware decoding up to 8K, and turns speech into subtitles with Whisper running on your Mac. Subtitles can be translated into 46 languages, free and private through Ollama or with your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key.
The player is free. AI subtitles are free for your first 2 hours of watching; Kinoglot Pro unlocks them for good with a one-time purchase.
